Who Are Transhouse?

Transhouse has been operating since 1995 and in that time it has assisted many people with spinal cord injuries to make the move into independent living in a home of their own with the support of personal assistance and technical aids.

What Do Transhouse Do?

Many people come to stay at Transhouse immediately on discharge from hospital spinal injuries units, while others may already be living in the community but in circumstances considered to be unsuitable for them. Wherever they come from, everyone who stays at Transhouse has the same aim - they wish to live independently in a home of their own.

Transhouse can provide:
  • a tailored environment to help them to achieve these aims.

  • provides each person with the opportunity to experience independent living in an environment where the emphasis is placed on control of their own day to day lives.

  • Personal support packages can be set up with each person to facilitate their independence.

Transhouse can assist with:
  • Benefits advice.

  • Set up suitable personal support/care package

  • Finding long term housing

  • Arranging any necessary adaptations

Transhouse aims to make the move into independent living a smooth and trouble free process.
